Powell, Wyo. —Men's Soccer secured their second victory in as many matches on Saturday in a 6-0 blowout win over Northwest College.
The Mighty Lizards got things going early, going up 1-0 around the half hour mark off sophomore
Adolfo Sanchez's first score of the season. TMCC would add on another before the end of the first half, going up 2-0 off the foot of freshman
Jaden Roig just eight minutes later.
Roig would score two more times before the end of the contest, securing a hat trick in his second-ever game at the collegiate level. The Bishop Manogue product joined forwards
Oscar Villasenor and
Ely Marin in netting their first career goals as members of the Mighty Lizards.
TMCC's defense was excellent for the second straight day, recording the team's first clean sheet of the season. They kept the Trappers chances to a minimum, keeping things clean for Goalkeeper
Brandon Espino, who also made his first collegiate appearance in the victory.
TMCC's Men will have a week off before their next game action on Aug. 27, when they play host to Lassen Community College in their first home contest of the season.
