Box Score EPHRAIM, Utah– A long-range shot in the final seconds for Snow College handed TMCC's men a loss on Saturday morning.

TMCC was excellent in the opening half, holding the Badgers to just one shot on the defensive end- a free kick that was blocked by the defensive wall. The Lizards would do well to keep the Snow defense on their heels, tallying five shots from five different players while winning five corners.

Erick Ceja-Gonzalez put the Lizards up 1-0 mid way throughout the first half after midfielder Allen Somera drew a foul just outside the penalty box. The sophomore defender drilled the free kick past Badgers Goalkeeper Zachary Dean for his first score of the season.

While the Badgers Would struggle to generate chances all morning, Snow would get on the board with a 56^th minute score to pull even, sneaking one past Lizards keeper Sean Lucas at the near post. A great tackle from Ceja-Gonzalez would neutralize another chance for Snow College just two minutes later, keeping the score tied at one apiece.

The Badgers would take the lead in the 70^th minute when they headed in a well-placed cross. Snow's advantage wouldn't last long, however, as Ely Marin would find sophomore Allen Somera one on one with the goalkeeper just five minutes later to allow the Lizards to pull even.

As the clock winded down, the match seemed set for extra minutes. However, Snow would net a score with just 90 seconds remaining to take the lead, handing TMCC their second straight defeat to open conference play.

TMCC played well despite the late heroics from the hosts, manufacturing chances with ease behind Allen Somera and Cuauhtemoc Borjon, who paced the Lizards with three shots each.

TMCC's men will resume action this Thursday, September 9 when they return home to Reno to take on Community Christian College for their first home match in conference play. Kickoff is set for 3:00PM, and the match will be streamed live on the Lizards Sports Network.
