Box Score Reno, NV - Lady Lizards of Truckee Meadows (TMCC) secured a victorious win over the Lady Lions of Pacific Northwest Christian College (PNWCC) on Saturday, Sept. 13 with a dominating final score of 4-0. 

The Lady Lizards came out with high intensity in the first half against the Lady Lions. TMCC offense looked to control their home turf, which is exactly what they did. The Lizards made over 21 shots in the first half, where the Lions were unable to respond. Monse Iza secured the first goal in the forty-third minute with the assist from Nevaeh Scorza. The hot TMCC defense led to PNWCC playing down a player going into the second half. Their frustration resulted in a team goal, bringing the score to 2-0. 

There was no question that Monse Iza was the driving player of the game. With over twelve personal shots, she found the back of the net in the sixty-fifth minute, bringing the Lady Lizards to 3-0. The ball movement, team communication, and adrenaline helped TMCC control the field for the remaining half, where Kayla Guzman found the opening and scored for the final time, bringing the score to 4-0. The Lady Lizards secured their first home win of the season, and don't plan to rest anytime soon. 

The Lady Lizards will bring the same intensity later this week, when they face Colorado Northwestern on Thursday, Sept. 18. The match will be streamed on the Scenic West Network.
