2021 - Played a total of 12 games for the Mighty Lizards… Was a starter in each game played… Took 1 shot over the course of the season while enforcing the back line.

2020/21 - Played a total of 11 games for the Mighty Lizards… Was a starter for 10 games… Took a total of 3 shots over the course of the season.

A Spanish Springs High School alum, Rutherford was a captain for his high school squad that captured three consecutive High Desert League Championships and appeared in two Nevada State Championship tournaments. He earned All-Defensive First Team honors in 2018 and High Desert League Defensive Player of the Year honors in 2019, while also being named Spanish Springs Player of the Year both seasons. He was awarded Nevada All-State Academic team recognition three times. 

Rutherford earned All-Region 18 Honorable Mention for his play during the Spring 2021 season. 

Alongside soccer, Rutherford enjoys hiking, snowboarding, and camping. He hopes to earn a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Engineering and establish his own engineering firm.
