2021 - Played a total of 13 games for the Mighty Lizards… Was a starter for 10 games… Picked up a goal against Utah State Eastern (9/30) and at Community Christian College (10/7)… Recorded an assist against Community Christian College (9/9)… Took 16 shots over the course of the season.

2020/21 - Played a total of 11 games for the Mighty Lizards… Was a starter for 10 games… Recorded 2 assists against Colorado Northwestern (4/17)… Took a total of 6 shots over the course of the season.

Chavez graduated from North Valleys High School in Reno, Nevada. A captain his senior season, he helped lead his team to a playoff appearance and regional championship in 2019. He played club soccer with Sierra Nevada FC. A member of TMCC’s inaugural men’s squad, he was a recipient of the inaugural Gonzalo Lopez memorial scholarship honoring late TMCC Assistant/Goalkeeper Coach Gonzalo Lopez in Fall 2020 and earned All-Region 18 second team recognition in 2021

Chavez studies athletic training and hopes to transfer to a four-year institution after TMCC to continue his soccer career. He aspires to be a personal trainer.
