Head Coach Kyle Kelly joined the Truckee Meadows Men's & Women's Soccer programs in 2022 as an assistant coach, and was promoted to Head Coach for Men's Soccer prior to the start of the 2023 season. In his first year at the helm of the Men's program, he led the Mighty Lizards to a SWAC Regional Tournament appearance, their first since the Covid shortened 2020-21 season.
Prior to joining the Mighty Lizards, Kelly was the Women's Soccer Head Coach for four years at Sierra Nevada University, a former NAIA program located in Incline Village, NV.
An accomplished coach at the youth and high school levels, Kelly led Truckee High School to three Nevada state high school titles, and was named Nevada 3A Girls High School Coach of the Year in 2015. To this day, Kelly continues to coach youth and high school aged athletes at the club level for Truckee River United FC.
A Lake Tahoe area native, Kelly’s background in the sport additionally includes working as the Program Director for Northwest Soccer Camp in Seattle, WA for eight years after spending the majority of his youth playing club and high school soccer.
