RECAP: Men Fall 4-1 in Final 2021 Meeting with CSN

LAS VEGAS, Nevada (October 9, 2021)- A tough second half for TMCC resulted in a 4-1 defeat to their in-state rivals on Saturday.

Two quick scores from Lucas Moreno and Eli Zaragosa to open the second half would put momentum against the Lizards, who came from behind in the first half to enter the break tied 1-1.

CSN Threatened early, countering a free kick by the Lizards in just the third minute. The shot would be corralled by Sean Lucas for his first of four saves on the day.

The Coyotes would break things open minutes later, scoring in the 10th minute. After a cross in from the left bounced around, CSN forward Christopher Bramasco would punch it in to give the hosts a 1-0 advantage.

Sophomore Ben Linnert nearly pulled the Lizards even mid-way through the first half. After carrying the ball through the middle, the forward put an excellent look on frame that was kept out by a diving stop.

The Lizards would get on the board soon after, pulling even just before the half hour mark. A free kick from Adam Ramirez found the head of Wilmer Hernandez-Parra, who headed the ball into the middle for Cameron Kornock to net his third goal of the season. The score also notched Hernandez-Parra his team-leading fourth assist.

Momentum would favor the Coyotes from the start in the second half. Scores from Lucas Moreno and Eli Zaragosa just after the start of the final 45 put CSN up 3-1. Christopher Bramasco would net his second score of the contest for CSN after being awarded a penalty in the 63rd minute, giving the Coyotes a three score advantage.

TMCC's men will return home next week for a non-conference meeting with Lake Tahoe Community College on Tuesday, October 12. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m., and the match will be streamed live on the Lizards Sports network.
