Ephraim, Utah. — TMCC Women's Soccer fell to #5 Snow College 0-6 on Saturday.
The Badgers controlled the game from the opening whistle, dominating possession in their attacking third as the Lizards struggled to string passes together. Snow defender Abby Fotheringham would set the tone early with a 5th minute score, leading the Badgers offensive showcase alongside first-year forward Sydney Cragen, who would find the net twice in the 25th and 56th minute.
TMCC would struggle to possess throughout most of the match, and seemed to be a step behind the Badgers all morning. They found themselves down 0-2 before a shot from second-year forward
Yanitzia Perez-Galvan would glance wide, and trailed 0-4 before shots from
Madlyn Winters and
Isabel Gonzalez would find the hands of Snow goalkeeper Allison Poore. Snow would find the net twice more in the second half on before the final whistle would sound.
Going into the Lizards home-opener against Utah State University Eastern (Price, UT), TMCC's Women's side will need to adjust after having trouble generating chances during their first two matches. Coach
Geoff Hawkins will also have some personnel questions to address in the coming days, as he lost defenders
Maria Villa-Cabrera and
Colby Bera to injury.
TMCC will return home to host Utah State University Eastern in their home-opener on Thursday, April 15.
