Price, Utah- The Mighty Lizards fell to Utah State University Eastern on Saturday in a 1-2 defeat.

In a match crucial to TMCC's playoff hopes, continued issues converting in the attacking third would make the afternoon troublesome. Sophomore Wilmer Hernandez-Parra, responsible for TMCC's lone score of the day in the 88^th minute, and midfielder Allen Somera would do an excellent job facilitating scoring chances early, but finding the back of the net would elude TMCC until it was far too late.

After the opening 45 minutes resulted in a 0-0 stalemate that saw both squads trade possession, USUE would open the scoring in the 50^th minute. TMCC can clinch the first playoff berth in program history with a win over Salt Lake Community College this coming Friday. With a loss, the Mighty Lizards may still be alive but will be at the mercy of tiebreaker scenarios to decide their fate.
