Box Score Salt Lake City, UT - The Mighty Lizards couldn't get the ball rolling on offense against Salt Lake Community College, the current #1 team in Division I NJCAA men's soccer, and ultimately fell by a score of 4-0.

TMCC failed to record a shot in the first half, but remained strong on defense to keep the game even heading into halftime. Goalkeeper Brandon Espino registered two saves in the first half which kept TMCC in the running into the beginning of the second half.

The Bruins stepped up on offense early in the second half, starting with a penalty kick goal in the 56th minute by Zion Wagoner. SLCC continued to put points on the scoreboard with goals coming in the 60th minute, 67th minute, and 79th minute respectively. The Mighty Lizards recorded shots from Ivan Cortes and Sebastian Leguizamon, neither of which made it past goalkeeper Ben Williams.

TMCC will next head to Colorado Northwestern Community College to face off for the final time of the 2022 regular season. Kickoff is set for 12:30pm on Saturday, Oct. 22 and will be streamed live on the Scenic West Network
