Box Score Rangely, CO - TMCC Men's Soccer closed out the 2022 regular season with a 2-0 victory on Saturday over Colorado Northwestern Community College.

The first half proved to be a tightly contested one, with neither team able to put the ball in the back of the net despite an offensive presence. Cameron Kornock had multiple good looks for the Mighty Lizards, but couldn't get the ball past Spartans goalkeeper Jamie Rios.

The momentum slowly shifted TMCC's way, which led to the first goal of the match by Jose Valdivia in the 55th minute. Shortly after, it was Kornock scoring in the 60th minute to put the Mighty Lizards up 2-0. Brandon Espino came away with 7 total saves in the shutout victory, including two big stops for TMCC in the 74th and 78th minutes.

The Mighty Lizards will now wait for playoff seeds to emerge before heading to Salt Lake City, UT for the regional tournament.
