Box Score Reno, NV – The Mighty Lizard Men looked stronger than ever as they recorded their first win at home this season over Colorado Northwestern Community College by a score of 3-0.

The first half was a tight battle which resulted in neither team converting on goals. Adrian Chavez and Alex Barbosa came up with multiple shot opportunities for the Mighty Lizards but were unable to find the back of the net.

It was Allen Somera who recorded the first goal of the game for TMCC on a perfectly executed cross from Cuauhtemoc Borjon in the 55^th minute. In the 59^th minute, TMCC's Juan Figueroa notched the second goal of the game coming off an assist by Jose Valdivia. 

Valdivia ended up scoring the final goal of the game on a long ball in the 70^th minute, with Somera credited with the assist. Goalkeeper Brandon Espino recorded 6 saves in the shutout victory over CNCC.

The Mighty Lizards will next host #2 Salt Lake Community College on Wednesday, Sep. 28. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30pm and will be streamed live on the Scenic West Network.
