Box Score Reno, NV - Truckee Meadows Community College Women's Soccer (TMCC) took a tough loss to the College of Southern Idaho Golden Eagles (CSI) on Oct. 4 with a final score of 1-3.
The Lady Lizards were ready to play with heart at home. Alondra Carrillo, with a ready-to-play mindset, found the back of the net with a beautiful ball from Gabriela Ruvalcaba in the fourth minute, quickly reminding CSI whose field they were on.Â
For a moment, it felt like TMCC had the upper hand as they controlled the pace and won midfield battles. CSI equalized in the 40th minute with a quick counterattack that sliced through the TMCC defense. Just as the Lizards reset, the Golden Eagles struck once more in the 43rd minute, where halftime started with a 1-2 score.
The Lizards kept pressing and pushing as they kicked off the second half, with several promising chances just barely missing the mark. Despite their efforts, CSI sealed the deal with a third goal in the 85th minute, canceling any hopes of a late comeback. Still, TMCC looks to bounce back with the same energy they brought in those opening minutes on the road next week.Â
TMCC will face North Idaho College on Thursday, Oct. 9. The match will be streamed on the Scenic West Network.Â
