Price, Utah- TMCC was unable to maintain momentum from their 9-1 drubbing of Colorado Northwestern on Saturday, falling 0-4 to Utah State Eastern in their final road match of 2021.

Simply put, the Lizards loss came at the hands of what was the more talented squad on the field. USUE came out motivated to maintain their top-20 national ranking and made the most of their chances for the entire match, putting up 14 shots to the Lizards four. A score from Ashley Brindley just over a minute in would get things going early for the Eagles, and they would add on in the 31^st, 73^rd, and 81^st minutes to seal the deal and punch their own ticket to the Scenic West tournament in Salt Lake City.

TMCC would generate chances pretty consistently throughout a majority of the match and did a good job possessing, but would be unable to convert due in part to stout defense from Utah State. "I'm happy to see us improving every time we take the field," said Coach Geoff Hawkins. With their seventh loss of the spring, TMCC's women will likely find themselves eliminated from postseason contention come next week. What has been a tough spring campaign for the Lizards Women's side comes to a close on Friday, May 14^th against Salt Lake Community College.
