Box Score Reno, NV - TMCC Women's Soccer kicked off the second half of conference play in full force, shutting out the Pacific Northwest Christian College Gladiators on Saturday by a score of 4-0.

Similar to the Mighty Lizards match against CSN the week prior, TMCC scored all their goals in the first half while continuing to impress defensively in the second half. First-year athlete Felicity Codman got the Mighty Lizards on the board in the 19th minute off a Rylee Husted assist. Just minutes later, Codman found the back of the net again, giving TMCC a two goal lead after 25 minutes of play. In the 41st minute, that two goal lead extended to three off the boot of Husted. The Mighty Lizards made it a four goal first half after second-year athlete Alexandra Rutherford found the back of the net off an assist from fellow second-year Michelle Suria in the 45th minute.

Despite not scoring any second half goals, TMCC continued to play strong defense that ultimately ended with another notch in the win column. With the victory, Mighty Lizard goalkeeper Heidi Anavisca picked up her fourth shutout of the season. TMCC's offense recorded 18 total shots over 90 minutes, while the defense held strong by allowing only three PNWCC shots.

The Mighty Lizards will be back in action on Thursday, Oct. 5 where they'll kick off their final multi-game road trip of the regular season against Utah State University Eastern. Kickoff will commence at 1 p.m. Mountain Time, and the match will be streamed live on the Scenic West Network.
