Box Score Casper, WY - Coming off of a nailbiter loss against Casper College last night, the Mighty Lizard Women bounced back to beat Gillette College at neutral site Casper College by an impressive eight goal margin.

Second-year Mighty Lizard Rylee Husted got the ball rolling for TMCC by scoring two quick goals in the first three minutes of the match. In the 11th minute, it was Brooke Sherwood notching her first goal in a Mighty Lizard uniform, coming off an assist by Rachel Radow.

TMCC kept their momentum going in the first half with additional goals coming from Allison Tullis, Lyndsay Lewis, and a second goal from Sherwood. Goals scored by Tullis and Lewis marked their first in a Mighty Lizard uniform as the Mighty Lizards entered halftime up 6-0.

Two additional Mighty Lizards scored their first goal in their TMCC careers in the second half. Rachel Radow, a second-year athlete, found the back of the net midway through the second half, while first-year Felicity Codman had the same result with minimal time remaining, which ultimately led to an 8-0 victory.

Goalkeeper Heidi Anavisca notched her first shutout of the season recording six saves over 90 minutes, the same amount she had against Casper College the day before. Mia Sappenfield led the Mighty Lizards in assists with two.

TMCC will next travel to Powell, WY to play Northwest College in their final game of their opening road trip on Saturday, Aug. 19. Kickoff will commence at 9 a.m. Mountain Time, and the Mighty Lizards hope to replicate the same result from today.
