Reno, NV - Truckee Meadows Community College is all set to hit the road for Oregon and Washington for two games this weekend, facing off at Blue Mountain Community College on Friday, Sep. 1, followed by the conference opener at Pacific Northwest Christian College on Saturday, Sep. 2.
On the women's side of play, the Mighty Lizards will look to hand Blue Mountain their first loss of the season, as the Timberwolves currently hold a 3-0 record with wins against Everett Community College, Southwestern Oregon Community College and Clackamas Community College. On the men's side, Blue Mountain will look to take their first official win of the season, having only beaten Portland Community College in their first scrimmage of the season. Kickoff will take place at 3 p.m. for the women's match, followed by the men's match set to go at 5:30 p.m.
Saturday's matches at Pacific Northwest Christian will be the first official matches for the Gladiator men and women, having competed in scrimmages against various community colleges and NAIA level competition across Oregon, Washington and Idaho throughout the month of August. In addition, the matches will serve as the first SWAC games of 2023 for both teams, and the Mighty Lizards will look to open conference play with a notch in the win column. Kickoff will take place at 11 a.m. for the women's match and at 1:30 for the men's match.
