TMCC Soccer Set To Face College of Southern Nevada

Reno, NV - After a brief hiatus, the Silver State Series is finally heading back to the Biggest Little City.

Truckee Meadows Community College Men's & Women's Soccer will host in-state rival and former Region XVIII rival College of Southern Nevada on Friday, Aug. 22 at the TMCC Soccer Field. These matches will be the first time both schools face off in almost two years, after five seasons of multiple matches per year.

Since the formation of the soccer programs in 2019, Men's Soccer has tallied a combined record of 2-5-3 against the Coyotes of CSN, while Women's Soccer has recorded a 5-5-0 record over the years. College of Southern Nevada currently competes in Region I, having made the switch from Region XVIII after the completion of the 2023-24 academic calendar.

Now in Region I, CSN participates against regional competition within the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference (ACCAC) against junior colleges from Arizona and Southern California. The trip up from Las Vegas will mark the first time the Silver State Series will commence at the TMCC Soccer Field since our first annual Kickstart Tailgate, where both genders of soccer walked away with decisive home victories over the Coyotes back in 2023.

These upcoming matches against CSN will test the early-season strength of the Mighty Lizards, who hit the road for Jerome, ID the following week for neutral site matches against Region IX's Casper College and Laramie County Community College. From there, TMCC Soccer will head back to Jerome to kick off the Region XVIII portion of their season schedule against the College of Southern Idaho on Saturday, Sep. 6.

Women's Soccer will first take the pitch for a 5:00 p.m. kickoff against the Coyotes, followed by Men's Soccer at 7:00 p.m.
