Reno, NV - Truckee Meadows Community College Men's and Women's Soccer are gearing up for an exciting Fall 2026 National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) season, as the Mighty Lizards look to turn the page and make a strong push in Region XVIII. After a challenging 2025 campaign, TMCC Men's Soccer posted a 4-10 conference record and a 5-12 overall record, still securing a sixth–place finish in the Scenic West Athletic Conference. Women's Soccer wrapped up the season with a 2-11-1 conference record and a 2-13-1 overall record mark, earning a seventh–place finish in conference standings. With a fresh slate and a packed schedule ahead, both squads are motivated to regroup, grow, and prove they are ready to compete this Fall.
Season Opens at Home in Reno
TMCC Soccer will open the 2026 season at home on Saturday, Sept. 5, welcoming fans to the TMCC Soccer Field. Women's Soccer kicks things off at 11 a.m., followed by Men's Soccer at 1:30 p.m., setting the tone for an action-packed Fall. The Mighty Lizards will continue their early homestand with another doubleheader on Thursday, Sept. 10 at 1 p.m. for the women and 3:30 p.m. for the men, as well as Saturday, Sept. 12 at 11 a.m. for Women's Soccer and 1:30 p.m. for Men's Soccer, giving both teams the chance to build momentum in front of the Reno crowd.
Early Road Tests in Utah
Conference play intensifies as TMCC heads on the road for a tough Utah swing. On Thursday, Sept. 17, the Mighty Lizards will face Salt Lake Community College in Salt Lake City, with matches at Noon for the women and 2:30 p.m. for the men. The trip continues on Saturday, Sept. 19, when TMCC takes on Utah State University Eastern in Price, UT, with kickoff time set for 10 a.m. for Women's Soccer and 12:30 p.m. for Men's Soccer.
Back Home, Then Back on the Road
The Mighty Lizards return home for another pair of home matches on Thursday, Sept. 24, with the women kicking off at 1 p.m. followed by the men at 3:30 p.m. On Saturday, Sept. 26 Women's Soccer begins at 11 a.m. and Men's Soccer follows at 1:30 p.m., before heading north to Idaho. TMCC squares off against College of Southern Idaho in Twin Falls on Saturday, Oct. 3 with Women's soccer at 10 a.m. and Men's Soccer at 12:30 p.m.
Final Home Matches & Late-Season Push
October brings a final opportunity to catch the Mighty Lizards at home, as TMCC Soccer hosts a pair of key doubleheaders in Reno. On Thursday, Oct. 8, Women's Soccer will take the field first with a 1 p.m. kickoff, followed by Men's Soccer at 3:30 p.m. The homestand continues on Saturday, Oct. 10, with the women taking to the pitch at 11 a.m. and the men closing out the home schedule at 1:30 p.m.
Following the final home matches, TMCC will close out the regular season with a challenging road stretch. The Mighty Lizards travel to Kennewick, WA to face Pacific Northwest Christian College on Thursday, Oct. 15, with the women kicking off at Noon and the men following at 2:30 p.m. TMCC continues on the road two days later, heading to Coeur d'Alene, ID to take on North Idaho College on Saturday, Oct. 17, with the women kicking off at 10 a.m., and the men taking the field at 12:30 p.m.
Eyes on the Postseason
Following the conclusion of regular-season play, TMCC Soccer will set its sights on the Region XVIII Tournament, scheduled for Oct. 29-31. With lessons from last season and a renewed sense of excitement, the Mighty Lizards are ready to battle for postseason contention and make their mark in Fall 2026.
