HERRIMAN, Utah - Earlier this week, NJCAA Region 18 released the 2021 All-Region teams. Alongside honorees from TMCC's Scenic West opponents, Four Mighty Lizards were represented for their performance on the field this season at the 2021 Region 18 Men's and Women's Soccer Tournament: 

All-Region 18 Second Team (Men's Soccer): Erick Ceja-Gonzalez
All-Region 18 Honorable Mention (Men's Soccer): Luis Chavez
All-Region 18 Second Team (Women's Soccer): Emily Mendoza-Obeso
All-Region 18 Honorable Mention (Women's Soccer): Yalison Espinosa

Chavez and Espinosa each receive their second consecutive All-Region honors, after receiving All Region second team distinction during the 2021 Spring season delayed by COVID 19. Mendoza-Obeso receives her first All-Region Honor, and Ceja-Gonzaez receives his third following consecutive First Team selections in 2019 and Spring 2021.

All four of the Mighty Lizards honored at the Scenic West Tournament are Northern Nevada products. Chavez, Ceja-Gonzalez, and Mendoza-Obeso are all alums of North Valleys High School, while Espinosa is an alum of Spanish Springs High School.
