Box Score Rangley, CO - Truckee Meadows Men (TMCC) secured another win on Thursday, Sept. 18 over the Colorado Northwestern Community College men (CNCC) with a final score of 2-1. 

Away from home, the Mighty Lizards were ready for a battle. Quickly, CNCC reminded them they were on their field, and scored in minute seven bringing the scoreboard to 0-1. TMCC defense was awakened and held the Spartans scoreless and shotless for the remaining first half. The intensity was rising as both teams obtained over ten fouls going into halftime. 

Both teams came out firing as soon as the second half kicked off. Nearly ten minutes into the game, TMCC was awarded a penalty kick due to the amount of fouls CNCC committed. Freshman Antonio Ojeda took and secured the goal, bringing the score to a 1-1 tie. Adrenaline was the fuel for the Mighty Lizards, as only ten minutes later the offense was ready to strike again. Valentin Linan, with ball possession, found the opening with forward Anthony Garcia, who scored once more and the game ended with a final score of 2-1. 

The Mighty Lizards Men return to the field this weekend, where they will head to Salt Lake Community College on Saturday, Sept. 20. The match will be streamed on the Scenic West Network.
