Box Score Twin Falls, ID - Truckee Meadows Men's Soccer (TMCC) suffered a loss on Saturday, Sept. 6, falling 0-2 to the College of Southern Idaho Golden Eagles (CSI.)
TMCC came out strong in the first half of their matchup against CSI. The Mighty Lizards dominated their defense, holding the Golden Eagles scoreless through the opening forty-five minute half. Although TMCC held pressure to the CSI offense, they also found themselves scoreless headed into the second half.
The speed of the game changed quickly at the start of the second half. The Golden Eagles wasted no time, netting two goals within minutes at the fifty-first and fifty-sixth minute mark, extending their 2-0 lead on home turf. Despite the fast CSI offense, TMCC goalkeeper Sawyer Morris accomplished over three saves, and the Golden Eagles were unable to score again. Unfortunately, the Mighty Lizards were unable to make a comeback, sealing the game in favor of the Golden Eagles.
The Mighty Lizards look to dominate on home turf later this week, facing off against North Idaho College on Thursday, Sept. 11. The match will be streamed on the Scenic West Network.
