RENO, NV – Success for the Truckee Meadows Community College soccer programs extends well beyond the field. Following the Spring 2026 Semester, seven Mighty Lizard student-athletes have been recognized as National Junior Collegiate Athletic Association (NJCAA) All-Academic honorees, highlighting the dedication, discipline, and perseverance it takes to excel both in the classroom and in competition.

Balancing the demands of collegiate athletics is no small task. From early- morning studyhall classes and late-night study sessions to practices, travel, and for some student-athletes, working to help pay for college, these individuals have demonstrated what it truly means to be a student-athlete. Their commitment to academics while representing TMCC Athletics reflects the hard work and determination required to succeed in every aspect of college life. 

Representing the TMCC Women's Soccer program, Gabriela Ruvalcaba earned NJCAA All-Academic First Team honors, while Ryinn Hatch was named to the Second Team and Chloe McMinn received Third Team recognition. 

For the TMCC Men's Soccer program, Jeremy Lafargue and Angel Nava were recognized as NJCAA All-Academic Second Team selections. Robert Castillo Diaz and Anthony Garcia earned Third Team honors for their achievements in the classroom. 

TMCC Athletics proudly celebrates these student-athletes for their outstanding academic accomplishments and the dedication they have shown throughout the Spring 2026 Semester. Their success serves as a reminder that the commitment to being a Mighty Lizard extends far beyond game day, embodying the values of hard work, resilience, and excellence both on and off the field.
