The Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC) Women's Volleyball team came away with the program's first-ever win against the College of Marin in last weekend's doubleheader, putting together a strong all-around performance across both matches. The Lizards controlled the first match up 25-16, 25-23, 25-23 from the start before battling through a more competitive second match 21-25, 25-14, 25-21, 25-16. Strong serving, a consistent offense, and defensive pressure helped TMCC secure the day's sweep and continue building momentum as the season progresses. 
 
TMCC opened the day with a 3-0 victory over Marin. The Lizards established control early and maintained their momentum throughout the match, finishing the opening contest with a clean sweep.
 
The two teams met again later in the day, with TMCC earning another victory, this time taking the match 3-1. After dropping a set, the Lizards responded by closing out the match and securing their second win of the day.
 
Playing two matches in one day required consistency and focus from TMCC, and the Lizards finished the doubleheader with a 2-0 record against Marin.
 
The pair of victories gives TMCC another positive result as the team continues its season. The Lizards will look to carry that momentum into their upcoming matches as they continue competing throughout the season.
 
The Mighty Lizards will compete again on Sept. 18 and Sept. 19 at home against North Idaho College, marking the first conference game in the program's history.
