Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC) Volleyball will hit the road this weekend for its next Scenic West Athletic Conference (SWAC) matchup, taking on nationally ranked Salt Lake Community College (SLCC) in a two-match series.
The Mighty Lizards will travel to Taylorsville, Utah, to face the No. 4-ranked Bruins on Friday, Oct. 9 at 6 p.m. and again on Saturday, Oct. 10 at Noon.
SLCC enters the weekend with a 15–4 overall record and a 3–1 record in conference play. The Bruins have already faced North Idaho College this season, earning two victories in their September series.
For TMCC, the weekend will offer another opportunity to compete against one of the conference's top teams. The Mighty Lizards are coming off a two– match series against College of Southern Idaho and will look to carry the experience from those matches into their first meeting with SLCC.
The matchup will be another test for TMCC as the team continues its inaugural season of intercollegiate volleyball. Facing a nationally ranked opponent will give the Mighty Lizards an opportunity to compete at a high level and continue building experience as the season progresses.
