RECAP: Women’s Soccer Falls 4-0 in Second Meeting With Snow College

Box Score
RENO, Nevada-
TMCC's women took a 4-0 defeat to Snow College in the two squads' second meeting of the season on Saturday afternoon.

The Mighty Lizards played well in the opening half, keeping constant pressure from the Badgers at bay. Freshman striker Kamryn Harper came close to putting TMCC up 1-0 in just the 10th minute, but her attempt would be saved by Snow goalkeeper Evelyn Brimhall.

Snow would open the scoring during Saturday's meeting around mid-way through the first half. Mayu Yamamoto found the net unassisted for the first score of the day, and the 1-0 advantage would remain through the half.

The second half would go against the Mighty Lizards, who struggled to keep possession and contain the offensive potency of the visitors. The Badgers would manufacture a plethora of chances late, putting up 13 shots in the second half alone.

Snow doubled their lead to two in the 48th minute, when Emma Lindsey netted her first of two scores in the afternoon. The Badgers would find the net again in the 62nd and 69th minutes to extend their advantage, when Emma Lindsey and Mayu Yamamoto each put in a second score for the match.

TMCC's women will return to action next week when they head south for conference matches with Community Christian College and in-state rival Southern Nevada on October 7 and 9. Both contests will be streamed live on the Scenic West Network.
