The Truckee Meadows Community College Lizards traveled to the east bay area to take on the Thunderbirds of Merritt College. TMCC took the first lead of the match within the first 15 minutes and never looked back. Yalison Espinosa scored two goals in the first half at 21 minutes and again at 37 minutes. Lesly Lopez Lugo and Lizbeth Gonzalez Chavez each tacked on two goals in the second half. 

The remaining goals were scored by: Piper Wiecking, Emily Mendoza Obeso, Juanita Lopez, Ximena Mora, Daisy De La Torre Jimenez, Elizabeth Hoffmann and Lacee Gardner. The Lizards played a clean game offering zero cards for the entire match. 

The Lizards remain undefeated (3-0) heading back to their home field for their opening conference match against Colorado Northwestern Colorado College this Thursday, Sept. 12 at 3:00 p.m.
